Homeschoolers on Whidbey is a non-profit support group dedicated to serving all homeschoolers on North Whidbey Island, although we welcome people from all over Whidbey and Fidalgo Islands, Washington, U.S.A. Member families currently live in Oak Harbor, Coupeville, Greenbank, Anacortes, Freeland, Mount Vernon, Langley, and Coupeville. We even have one family from Monroe, Washington.
Annual membership dues are $15. Membership includes monthly news, field trips, HOW classes, and special events. In addition, support group meetings covering topics of interest to homeschoolers are held the second Monday of the month.
Mission Statement: HOW is an inclusive organization offering support and information pertaining to home-based instruction, commonly known as homeschooling. It seeks to provide a means by which members assist one another in the adventure of educating their children at home. HOW is not associated in any way with the public school system or any alternative programs under public or private school systems.
HOW's membership fluctuates. We currently have approximately 50 families.
